Tilleke & Gibbins Offices in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar Awarded Rankings in Chambers Asia-Pacific 2021

In the recently released 2021 edition of Chambers Asia-Pacific, one of the premier rankings directories of top law firms around the world, Tilleke & Gibbins has received outstanding marks for the work of its offices in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, and Myanmar. These come in addition to the firm’s top-tier recognitions in Chambers’ Thailand and Vietnam rankings.

Tilleke & Gibbins’ office in Cambodia was ranked Band 2 for General Business Law—a boost from last year’s Band 3 ranking, and a strong reflection the Phnom Penh office’s sustained, strong performance across the full range of corporate legal practice under the expert direction of partner Jay Cohen, who also received a Chambers Asia-Pacific  individual ranking. Tilleke & Gibbins’ IP and regulatory affairs boutique in Indonesia also took a step forward in the listings, earning a Band 4 ranking in the Intellectual Property category. In Laos, Tilleke & Gibbins was ranked in Band 3, with an individual ranking for office head, Dino Santaniello; while in Myanmar, the firm received a Band 4 ranking.

Each ranking in the guide is accompanied by an analysis drawn from Chambers and Partners’ direct interviews with clients, highlighting specific areas of strength for each respective practice. For instance the 2021 editorial about the firm’s intellectual property practice in Indonesia quotes a client as reporting that “Tilleke & Gibbins provides a very high quality of service,” while the analysis for the firm’s office in Laos quotes a client as noting that the firm’s lawyers “explain practical measures in detail,” which is extremely helpful for people unfamiliar with both Lao law and the intricacies of its implementation.

The Chambers Asia-Pacific  rankings are based on in-depth market research, including input from our clients and other legal practitioners, are a reference guide to the top law firms and legal professionals across the Asia-Pacific region.
