Tilleke & Gibbins Hosts Personal Data Protection Act Seminar

On March 22, 2019, Tilleke & Gibbins will host a seminar on Thailand’s new Personal Data Protection Act, which is expected to pass into law later this year with wide-ranging effects for all businesses that store and process customer and employee information. This event will provide in-house counsel, compliance officers, and senior executives in Thailand with an advance grounding in the essentials of this important new legislation. Lawyers from Tilleke & Gibbins, will provide an overview of the law, the practical implications for all businesses, and the key considerations for employers, followed by Q&A sessions that will provide you with the opportunity for interactive and insightful discussions. Speakers will include Athistha (Nop) Chitranukroh, partner and deputy director of the firm’s corporate and commercial practice; Nandana Indananda, a partner in the firm’s intellectual property department and former judge of the Intellectual Property and International Trade Court; and Chusert Supasitthumrong, a partner in the firm’s dispute resolution group and head of the firm’s contentious employment practice.

The seminar will be held in the firm’s Bangkok office auditorium from 9am, and will be conducted in Thai. Attendance is by invitation only.
