On August 29, Thomas J. Treutler, partner and managing director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam offices, will speak at a workshop on patent protection, licensing, and enforcement in Ho Chi Minh City organized by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the American Chamber of Commerce. The workshop is designed to raise public awareness of patents in Vietnam. Thomas will be speaking on “Patent Infringement – Civil Litigation, Trial and Remedies.”

The two-day workshop will be held on August 28-29 at the Reverie Hotel in downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Other speakers will include the USPTO’s regional IP attaché for Southeast Asia and representatives form the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Vietnam’s National Office of Intellectual Property (NOIP).
