On April 23, Somboon Earterasarun, a partner in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group, will be speaking on the topic of “Branding and Trademark Strategy” at the “3rd Intellectual Property Knowledge Bank for Innovative Entrepreneurs,” organized by Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA).
Somboon’s presentation will cover branding strategies, laws relevant to trademark registration, precautions to take to avoid infringing on other brand owners’ trademark rights, and useful case studies. He will be joined by practitioners from several other leading law firms, who will provide their insights into other interesting aspects of intellectual property.
The NIA is an autonomous agency of the Thai government that aims to transform Thailand into an innovation-driven economy through a range of initiatives and events. As a leading regional law firm in Thailand, Tilleke & Gibbins has been regularly invited to participate in NIA events to share business and legal knowledge with Thai entrepreneurs.
The event will take place on April 23-24 at the Mercure Bangkok Makkasan, with the first day focusing on legal and intellectual property strategies, and the second day focusing on financial management and accounting standards. All presentations will be in Thai. For more information, please visit the NIA website.
