On September 26, attorney Loc Xuan Le will speak at an IPR symposium organized by the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM), an influential industry group whose members include Honda, Piaggio, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Taiwan’s SYM. The symposium will highlight issues related to counterfeiting and protection of intellectual property in Vietnam’s massive motorbike market.

Loc will present a client case study on a VAMM member’s ongoing fight against counterfeit goods and copied designs. Officers from Vietnam’s National Office of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Industry and Trade will also be speaking at the event, which will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Hanoi.

Loc heads the IP enforcement efforts and is a principal of TGVN, Tilleke’s associate firm for local IP filings in Vietnam.
