World Intellectual Property Day is an annual event that was established by the World Intellectual Property Organization to raise awareness of how patents, copyright, trademarks, and designs impact daily life and to celebrate creativity and contributions made by creators and innovators.

In celebration of this year’s World IP Day, Darani Vachanavuttivong, co-managing partner and managing director of the intellectual property department at Tilleke & Gibbins, has been invited to speak at the Lao Department of Intellectual Property IP Fair in Vientiane. During a seminar on IP issues, Darani will give an in-depth presentation on the Madrid Protocol and its implications for the IP systems in Laos.

The IP Fair is taking place April 26-30 at the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Center. Darani’s presentation is scheduled for April 29 at 11:05 am.
