Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam Trademark Practice Placed in “Gold” Band by WTR 1000, 2016

Tilleke & Gibbins’ trademark practice in Vietnam was placed in the “Gold” band in the 2016 edition of the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.

The ranking’s editorial says that Tilleke & Gibbins “combines the advantages of a local and a regional firm,” and “it covers Southeast Asia as well as any firm.”

“Its trademark and patent registration operation is a well-oiled machine,” the editorial continues. Thomas Treutler, partner and managing director of the firm’s Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offices, is described as a “leading light” and “an essential bridge for foreign entities seeking to enter Vietnam.” Thomas was also identified as a leading lawyer in Vietnam.

The WTR 1000  rankings are determined based on market research and interviews with hundreds of lawyers, clients, and other practitioners. The ranked firms were divided into “Gold,” “Silver,” and “Bronze” bands based upon reputation, time in service, high-profile work, and comments from experts in the field.
