Somboon Earterasarun, a senior consultant in the Tilleke & Gibbins intellectual property group, will participate in a seminar organized by the Thai Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) on “Using IP to Access the AEC Market: Cambodia and Lao PDR” on April 24, 2013, at the Aetas Hotel in Bangkok.

As part of a panel discussion on how investors can maximize the value they derive from their intellectual property in Cambodia and Laos, Somboon will be joined by a representative of True Corporation and a speaker from the Department of International Trade Promotion. Other presentations throughout the full-day event will include trademark and patent examiners from Cambodia and Laos.

The seminar will be attended by 120 businesspeople from various organizations in Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Thailand, including members of the Federation of Thai Industries and the Thai Chamber of Commerce, as well as academic participants. This is part of an ongoing series of seminars held by the DIP to cover all of the markets in the ASEAN Economic Community, in preparation for AEC integration in 2015.
