Tilleke & Gibbins Consultant to Speak at Contract Management Excellence Summit 2012
Asia Business Connect

In the ever-changing, challenging business environment today, new legal procedures and regulations have made it difficult to create value through contractual agreements without the right knowledge and awareness to make strategic decisions that will allow businesses to maximize profits and minimize their potential risks. Moreover, disputes are common in such a dynamic environment, and protecting oneself through contract management is imperative.

In light of these issues, on November 27-29, 2012, Asia Business Connect will be hosting its second annual Contract Management Excellence Summit. Siraprapha Rungpry, consultant in the Tilleke & Gibbins intellectual property team, will speak at the summit. The presentation will be on drafting intellectual property-intensive agreements. In particular, Siraprapha will cover the following aspects:

  • Regulations relevant to IP agreements
  • Key consideration for terms and conditions in IP agreements
  • Evaluation of terms, key provisions, and conditions involved in drafting IP licensing contracts
  • Post-contractual phase, breach of agreement, and IP risks

The summit is designed for all parties involved in contract management and risk management. It will also incorporate the impact of the AEC on contract risk management, and in particular, focus on avoiding disputes and mitigating costly contractual downfalls. It will also provide a detailed overview of the process of drafting, negotiating, and modifying of contracts using best-practice examples.
