WTR 1000, an annual guide ranking 1000 of the top trademark firms around the world, has recently awarded the Tilleke & Gibbins Vietnam team with a “Gold Band” ranking, the publication’s highest level of achievement for trademark work.

According to research carried out by the World Trademark Review team, Tilleke & Gibbins is “considered to be a serious player with a rock-solid practice in Vietnam.” The publication also noted that the firm’s “experienced group has an excellent track record in IP enforcement, a sizable and growing prosecution practice and expertise in all types of IP commercialization.” Among the firm’s attorneys, Thomas Treutler, Partner and Managing Director of Tilleke & Gibbins’ Vietnam office, was singled out in the ranking for his fluency “as a Vietnamese speaker, a rare breed among foreign counsel in the market. He wins particular praise for his IP enforcement practice.”

In awarding this “Gold Band” ranking, researchers at World Trademark Review surveyed key thought leaders in each jurisdiction. Reputation, time in service, expertise, and comments from clients and peers were all taken into account in compiling the rankings of the firms and individuals.
