Position Summary

Provides legal advice to clients in sophisticated tech/telecoms industries on a wide range technology matters such as e-commerce, e-transaction, and e-payment matters, as well as data privacy and protection

Areas of Responsibility

Legal Practice

  • Advises technology companies, telecommunication companies, OTT operators, e-payment and fintech companies for regulatory compliance with Thai related regulations
  • Advises clients on technology procurement, development, licensing, transfer, and protection of investment in the technology sector, commercialization of software applications
  • Advises and assists clients on the use and deployment of hardware and digital infrastructure, provision of e-commerce services and mergers and acquisitions, provision of strategic position, protection, and profit from their valuable intellectual property in diverse market worldwide
  • Formulates legal strategies and analytical responses to clients and acting as the primary point of contact for TMT clients
  • Drafts, reviews, and finalizes technology related contracts such as consulting services, IT products, software and data processing along with data privacy
  • Performs legal research when and as necessary to resolve legal issues and determine the appropriate course of action regarding a particular issue/case

Client Development and Managing Work and Relationships

  • Promotes the firm’s business development on telecom, media and technology sector (TMT)
  • Regularly publishes articles and makes presentations that increase the firm’s visibility and result in new business
  • Participates in crafting proposals and pitching for new business from current or prospective clients
  • Identifies and participates in relevant conferences as agreed by partners/department heads
  • Takes full ownership of work with minimal oversight from partners
  • Effectively and efficiently manages projects and matters well

Administrative Tasks

  • Manages other administrative tasks in professional and timely manners such as time recording, invoicing, billing and chasing aged debt, matter opening, conflicts, etc.

  • Persuasive, articulate and confident discussing legal issues, transactions and strategies
  • Effectively and persuasively presents the client’s position and represents the client’s interests
  • Able to apply legal principles and draw on experience to develop strategies and solve problems that add real value for clients
  • Demonstrate excellent legal and business judgment that inspires client’s confidence
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in both Thai and English and ability to present information, including complex legal issues, clearly and concisely
  • Take full ownership of work with minimal oversight from partners. Demonstrates true commitment to achieving positive matter outcomes


  • 6+ years working experience in TMT legal matters, e.g. software contracts, data compliance, big data business, cyber security, telecommunication, cloud computing, SaaS, e-commerce, e-payment services, software licensing, outsourcing, and supply agreements
  • Strong transactional experience in digital, consulting, system integration, and/or outsourcing areas
  • Experience of negotiating and drafting technology-based agreement
  • Experience in advising clients on a wide range of matters including complex commercial agreements, technology outsourcing and software development contracts, and tech-focused acquisitions and disposals
  • Experience of advising large, complex, and long-term projects would be a distinct advantage


  • Knowledge of general corporate matters, corporate governance, data sharing and technology and licensing transactions (including software as a service and managed services)
