Regulatory Affairs (Food, Feed and Beverage)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Assessment, Application and Maintenance

  • Assisting in monitoring laws, regulations and standards for changes and assessing impact
  • Coordinating, compiling and submitting application documents to the Thai FDA, Department of Livestock Development, Department of Fisheries and other regulatory agencies as required including, but not limited to, food, beverage and feed products
  • Staying abreast of Thai FDA and other Thai regulatory agencies and international agencies treatment of food, beverage and feed products
  • Advising on product, ingredient formulation assessments, safety evaluations and strategies for successful regulatory applications
  • Maintaining registration information (license numbers, expiration dates, variation updates, etc.) and re-registration/extension approvals in advance of expirations to ensure no disruption in product availability
  • Maintaining effective professional relationships with Thai FDA, other regulatory agencies and testing authorities to support successful applications/assessments

2. Product Compliance Management

  • Developing ingredient lists and nutrition fact panels for product labels including, but not limited to ingredient statement, allergen declaration, nutrition facts panel, net weight statement and claims to meet regulatory requirements and standards of identity
  • Advising on client planned and existing marketing and promotional activities

3. Client and Colleague Care and Conduct

  • Conduct professional, timely and accurate correspondence and communication with clients, regulators and colleagues
  • Liaise with all colleagues within the firm to ensure awareness of regulatory affairs matters

4. Marketing and Business Development

  • Promoting the firm’s business development across all offices and all groups
  • Professional article writing for publication to market and promote the firm
  • Identify and participate in relevant conferences as agreed by partners/department heads

5. Administrative tasks

  • Managing other administrative tasks in professional and timely manners such as time recording, invoicing, billing and chasing aged, debt, matter opening, conflicts, etc.

  • Ability to multitask and balance competing priorities
  • Effective collaboration with cross department and office colleagues and comfortable working independently with minimal direction
  • Strong Thai and English verbal and written communications skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in biology, food/nutrition Science, crop science, chemistry or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Thai FDA and/or other relevant regulatory agency food, beverage and/or feed law and regulations, product application, dossier assembly, labeling, marketing/promotion regulations and documentation requirements
  • Effective and demonstrable understanding of technical documentation
  • Strong scientific background with 2-3 year of experience in regulatory, nutrition, quality assurance and/or food, beverage and/or feed manufacturing
  • Experience in handling regulatory submissions to Thai FDA and other regulatory agencies
