At the monthly IP talk seminar organized by the Intellectual Property Association of Thailand, Dr. Jakkrit Kuanpoth of the Tilleke & Gibbins IP group gave a presentation on “Overlapping IP: Trademark, Patent, Copyright, or Design? A Comparative Analysis.” Drawing on case and statutory examples from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States, Dr. Jakkrit’s talk examined the various forms of IP protection available, as well as the issues raised by overlapping forms of protection. The seminar was held on May 6, 2011, at the Department of Intellectual Property.
