Legal Practice – Energy

• Advise clients on matters related to energy transactions, including project development (site control, power purchase agreements, engineering, procurement and construction agreements, supply agreements and/or operations and maintenance agreements), mergers and acquisitions, and project finance
• Commit to learning and developing expertise in energy, corporate, and commercial matters
• Conduct legal research on complex issues such as corporate structure, foreign ownership solutions, regulatory licensing, etc.
• Draft and review commercial agreements such as joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, agreements related to M&A, sale and purchase agreements, distribution agreements, licensing agreements, franchise agreements, employment agreements, services agreements, manufacturing agreements, and other ancillary agreements
• Work with team of lawyers to assist clients in M&A transactions, including conducting legal due diligence, litigation search, property search, etc.

Client Development and Managing Work and Relationships

• Take initiative, design, and implement business development and marketing plans for the Energy Practice Group for Thailand office
• Participate in crafting proposals and pitching for new business from current or prospective clients
• Identify and participate in relevant conferences as agreed by partners/department heads
• Effectively and efficiently manage projects and matters well
• Provide high-standard level of service to clients and colleagues

• Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities work effectively
• Persuasive, articulate and confident discussing legal issues, transactions and strategies
• Effectively and persuasively present the client’s position and represent the client’s interests
• Able to apply legal principles and draw on experience to develop strategies and solve problems that add real value for clients
• Demonstrate excellent legal and business judgment that inspires client’s confidence
• Excellent written and spoken skills in both Thai and English and ability to present information, including complex legal issues, clearly and concisely

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in energy-related legal works preferred
