WTR Anti-counterfeiting: A Global Guide 2019—Cambodia Chapter

World Trademark Review

The 11th edition of World Trademark Review’s Anti-counterfeiting: A Global Guide  was recently published, allowing trademark and brand protection professionals to gain quick and easy-to-digest information on anti-counterfeiting laws, procedures, and strategies from key strategic jurisdictions around the world. The 2019 version of the guide includes 22 country-specific chapters that provide in-depth information from an insider’s perspective on a number of anti-counterfeiting topics including legal framework, border measures, criminal prosecution, civil enforcement, and preventative measures.

Tilleke & Gibbins is happy to share the Cambodia chapter of the guide, which was authored by David Mol, consultant, and Nitikar Nith, advisor, from the intellectual property (IP) practice of Tilleke & Gibbins in Phnom Penh. As Cambodia continues to shift its legislation and policies to be more attractive to foreign investors, the protection of IP rights is becoming increasingly important in the jurisdiction. The Cambodia chapter of the anti-counterfeiting guide provides readers with a thorough introduction and practical tips on how to protect their valuable IP in the jurisdiction and how to protect themselves against counterfeiters.

In addition to authoring the Cambodia chapter, IP practitioners from Tilleke & Gibbins also contributed the Thailand and Vietnam chapters to the guide.

The chapter first appeared in Anti-counterfeiting: A Global Guide 2019, a supplement to World Trademark Review, published by Globe Business Media Group – IP Division. To view the guide in full, please visit WTR’s website.
