John Frangos to Lead Discussion on Legal and Compliance Risks at Asia-Pacific Counsel Roundtable

John Frangos, a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ dispute resolution group, will be leading the Asia-Pacific Counsel Roundtable on the topic of “Managing Legal and Compliance Risks in a Global Business Environment,” jointly organized by Lexology, the International Law Office, and the Association of Corporate Counsel in Hong Kong.

The roundtable will precede the Asia-Pacific Counsel Awards, which selects from over 3,500 in-house counsel nominations to recognize teams and individuals for legal excellence in a number of categories. A select group of in-house award nominees will be invited to join the roundtable to learn and network as part of a dynamic forum.

The discussion topics that John will lead will include global compliance risks related to data privacy, cybersecurity, whistleblowing, and anti-corruption and bribery; risk management processes and tools; assessing organizational risk tolerance; compliance roles and responsibilities; effective compliance programs; and internal oversight and reporting.

The Asia-Pacific Counsel events will be held at the China Club in Hong Kong on March 22, 2018, with the roundtable taking place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by a welcome cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. and an awards presentation from 7:45 p.m. onwards. If you would like to learn more about this event, please visit the Asia-Pacific Counsel Awards website.
