Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze cases in order to assist in the preparation of legal notes and/or cases for trials, registrations, status reports to clients, etc.
- Liaise with government agencies in relevant matters as assigned by lawyers.
- Assist lawyers in drafting legal documents and forms.
- Conduct legal research, market research, and legal updates; locate cases, depositions, opinions, reports, and information related to the matter; and take administrative actions as needed.
- Contact, investigate, and interview parties, witnesses, and experts, including obtaining written and verbal statements from witnesses and clients.
- Assist lawyers with certain administrative duties and maintain the case records in the system.
- Prepare and follow up on applications with relevant government authorities.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Specification
Background and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field. Bachelor of Law would be an advantage.
- Experience in corporate secretarial services and/or office administration preferred.
- Experience in litigation and/or court procedures and practices in Myanmar.

- Communication skills – have acceptable language skills in both Burmese and English.

- Technological Proficiency – be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word) and be willing to learn new computer programs.
- Other relevant qualities – detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, can-do attitude.
