Pannapa Rittinaphakorn is an attorney-at-law who specializes in the field of trademark registration in Thailand and abroad. She represents leading companies in the pharmaceutical, apparel, food and beverage, and other industries in all aspects of registration, including trademark pre-litigation matters such as appeal petitions, oppositions, cancellation petitions, and counterstatements.

A frequent speaker and author, Pannapa has presented at trainings for Customs officers throughout Thailand and has written on trademarks for such international publications as Managing Intellectual Property and World Trademark Review.

Pannapa is a member of Thai Bar Association and Lawyers Council of Thailand. She is also a notarial services attorney.

  • Represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in its cancellation petition against a registered trademark based on the mark’s similarity to an International Nonproprietary Name (INN) issued by the World Health Organization (WHO). The Board of Trademarks withdrew the trademark.

  • Appealed the Trademark Registrar’s rejection of our client’s flying eagle device mark based on confusing similarity. The Board of Trademarks withdrew the Registrar’s decision and allowed the client’s mark to be registered.

  • Secured the registration of a trademark, which was previously opposed on the basis of similarity and public policy, by filing a persuasive counterstatement with the Registrar.

  • Represented a multinational pharmaceutical company in opposing the trademark registration of a mark for a generic nasal spray based on the mark’s similarity to a registered trademark. The Registrar rejected the trademark application.
