Kornkieat Chunhakasikarn is an experienced litigator in the firm’s Bangkok office. During his 15 years as a litigator with the firm, Kornkieat has accumulated vast experience resolving labor, real estate and construction, bankruptcy, commercial contract, and white-collar crime disputes.

Kornkieat excels in clear communication, pragmatic advice, effective strategy, and decisive action. For these reasons, clients across industries trust him with their most critical matters. Kornkieat has successfully resolved disputes between his clients and state enterprises, governmental authorities, law firms, former business partners, contractors, debtors, creditors, family members, fraudfeasors, and various other opposing parties. A champion for his clients both in and out of the courtroom, Kornkieat believes that client collaboration is the key to victory.

Kornkieat is a member of the Thai Bar Association, Lawyers Council of Thailand, and the Commission on Arbitration for ICC Thailand.

  • Represented a U.S. government office in negotiations with a Thai debtor. 

  • Represented a subcontractor in a construction dispute against the prime contractor of a controversial wastewater management project (claims exceed USD 33,000,000).

  • Represented the supplier of an aviation system against a state enterprise in pre-litigation negotiations pertaining to the breach of a supply contract.

  • Represented a Hong Kong construction conglomerate in a contentious business deal with its Thai joint venture partner, which led to civil lawsuits, cross-border arbitration, and a government investigation into the acts of the JV partner and a related state enterprise.

  • Helped a U.S. law firm recover funds fraudulently transferred into a Thai bank account. 

  • Prosecuted and defended various complex civil and criminal actions related to breach of contract, wrongful acts, undue enrichment, fraud, and attempted fraud on behalf of our client.

  • Advised a pharmaceutical client on various IP issues, such as product liability, government advocacy on new regulations, compulsory licenses, new laws (Patent Act, Drug Act), and trademark registration.
