Ajcharee Musiko is a consultant in Tilleke & Gibbins’ intellectual property group. Her principal areas of expertise are providing guidance to clients seeking patent protection in Thailand and assessing the probability of success in obtaining a patent for new technologies, innovations, products, and processes. Ajcharee also conducts patent searches for clients wishing to transfer their technology to Thailand.
With experience in drafting patent specifications, as enhanced by professional training including the South East Asian Drafting Training Course, and in reviewing patent specifications, Ajcharee interviews inventors in various industries and crafts patent and petty patent applications that embody their inventions.
Ajcharee is responsible for the prosecution of numerous patent applications. She and her colleagues also prepare counterstatements and appeals in response to oppositions filed by interested third parties. Ajcharee received an Intellectual Property Law certificate from the Institute of Legal Education, Thai Bar Association.

Conducted patent searches based on themes, keywords, and names of companies involved in nuclear technology for use in a client’s business plan.

Prepared a counterstatement in response to an opposition to a design patent application. The Director-General of the Department of Intellectual Property revoked the opposition and held that our client’s design patent application was patent-eligible and not contrary to the Thai Patent Act.

Reviewed and revised patent specifications drafted by inventors to ensure that such specifications are suitable for filing in Thailand.

Searched and reviewed prior art documents to determine the existence of any applications filed in Thailand related to a chemical compound used in the treatment of lung, ovarian, and breast cancers.
